The cottage is approximately 100 years old, built out of the local pink granite or 'gres rose', typical of this part of Brittany. It is situated in the old quarter of Erquy, called Tu Es Roc, once inhabited by the local fishermen for easy access to the port from where they fished the local waters in their characteristic trawlers, some still in use today. Erquy was and is still renown for it's abundant fish, in partiocular scallops, mussels and oysters, all available in the local markets, shops and restaurants.
The cottage is just a short walk to 3 of Erquy's many stunning beaches. The local boulangerie for your morning's fresh croissants and baguette just 5 minutes walk and the town centre and shops, restaurants and bars are also a short walk away.
For a leisurely lunch or evening promenade the port bars and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away. Although there is ample parking there if you so wish). Personally however, we enjoy the fact that we can forget the car for while!
Reviews
The cottage was just what we were looking for. After half term we will start thinking about next year!

We had a wonderful week. Your house was lovely and suited us well. The area is great and we hardly needed to use the car. Tom managed to catch a lobster in a rock pool! We would love to visit again!

“Quite simply, we loved it so much so we were rather tempted not to share this lovely secret with anyone else!”
